Israeli Culture is at the Heart of Two New Lovellfaye Custom Wedding Dresses

Lovell and Hadas Dewey became friends in college at the University of Missouri, where Lovell was studying fashion and design. Hadas then met Thomas after graduation, and the two instantly hit it off.

It was always important to Hadas to highlight her Israeli and Jewish roots on her wedding day, and when she got engaged, she instantly knew the perfect person to create a complete wedding day ensemble that aptly reflected her culture – Designer Lovellfaye.

It’s common in Israeli culture to have two separate wedding day looks with a traditional, covered ceremony gown and a fun party dress. Hadas and Lovell drew inspiration for both dresses from Israeli designers and royal family weddings. After Hadas tried on multiple different silhouettes, she and Lovell traded several Instagram inspo photos to help bring together all the different ideas they discussed.

“I was so excited to design Hadas’s wedding dress not only because she is one of my closest friends but also because I got the unique chance to pull inspiration from her Israeli heritage,” said Designer Lovellfaye. “Some of my favorite bridal designers are from Israel, like Berta and Galia Lahav. They’re all about simplistic glam. It was also so fun discovering new Israeli designers that Hadas introduced me to. I love learning about different cultures through the wedding industry because wherever you’re from, a wedding has the same meaning behind it, and that’s celebrating a deep, forever kind of love.”

 Timeless, elegant and chic

In Orthodox Judaism, modesty is a big conversation, so Hadas wanted a ceremony dress that covered her arms and wasn’t distracting. She wanted to be sure she respected tradition with a classic, timeless, yet chic gown. Hadas believes there’s a beauty to modesty – aside from looking beautiful, there’s a beauty in being covered and having the dress speak for itself.

That’s exactly what she got with a Lovellfaye custom wedding gown.

Hadas was going for a princess vibe with her ceremony dress. She wanted a conservative satin gown and a long train but not a poofy skirt. Lovell made the first dress in 4-ply crepe, but it wasn’t stiff enough on the skirt, so she remade it in duchess satin and kept the crepe for the sleeves and pleated bodice. Hadas loved the shoulders on the dress and said they came out amazing.

Her skirt had pleats in the front and back, and she had buttons in the front of the dress from the waist down to the toe. A slit in the front gave her more height and allowed guests to see more of the flow of the dress. As Hadas put it, the slit gave her that “wow factor.”

Trendy, glamorous and playful

For her reception dress, Hadas was seeking something more fun and party-like that was a little sexier and easy to dance in. Still drawing on Israeli influences, she wanted to have a more modern, on-trend look during the reception. This was Lovell’s first time making a party dress with a corset, and she hand-draped the skirt to the mannequin.

The final outcome? A dazzling one-shoulder dress with sparkles, gathers and a slit to perfectly highlight Hadas’s favorite assets of her figure.

Thanks to Lovellfaye, both of Hadas’s dream wedding looks were in the spotlight on her big day. Hadas wore two stunning, complementary dresses that celebrated her and Thomas’s culture and love for one another on the most important day of their lives.

“Friendship is more than just being there for each other in good times and bad,” Hadas said. “It’s about collaborating and inspiring one another to create something truly remarkable. By working together to design the wedding dresses of my dreams, Lovell and I were able to create a unique and unforgettable experience that made my special day that much better.”
